AUTOMOTIVE GLASS SEAL

Custom low volume equipment for reducing cost and extending production capacity for automotive service parts after completion of initial program delivery.

This set of machines heats a section of a glass run seal and forms it such that the interference pressure against the vehicle body is increased to reduce intrusion of water and eliminate wind noise. Quartz tube infrared emitters are used for rapid start feature: the cycle rate and operator involvement makes a less expensive “always on” method unsafe and impractical. All machine functions can be monitored and adjusted via the HIM.
